Snow Guards
Snow guards, commonly used on metal roofs, prevent roof avalanches, that sudden release of snow and ice from a roof. They are rooftop devices that allow snow and ice to drop off in small amounts or allow snow and ice to melt completely before falling to the ground. A roof avalanche can cause property damage or injury to people and pets. They are a reliable way to protect cars, landscaping, gutter systems, plumbing vents, skylights and other things in the area below your roof.
Not only do snow guards help prevent a roof avalanche, but they also help with snow load by avoiding roof cave-ins since the weight of accumulated snow on your roof is more evenly distributed.
